The Wavefront Theatre WT UB is designed for installation beneath balconies in theatres, as well as for infill applications where exceptionally broad horizontal coverage is required. It delivers clear reinforcement for both speech and music, maintaining a remarkably even tonal balance throughout its coverage area. Its sonic character matches that of the larger WT2 and WT3 models. Uniform dispersion is achieved through the enclosure’s distinctive driver arrangement and geometry. A three-element soft-dome high-frequency line array, combined with a proprietary diffusion phase plug, produces very wide horizontal coverage with controlled vertical dispersion. The compact cabinet width keeps the two 6.5" (165 mm) cone drivers closely spaced. Together with their 60° splay, this arrangement provides smooth, seamless coverage across the horizontal plane. Each driver uses a 1.5" (38 mm) voice coil and an innovative heat-exchange system designed to minimise power compression. High-frequency cooling is assisted by a combination of ferrofluid and a heatsink mounted at the rear.
