The fiber optic cable offered on a Schill cable drum is designed for mobile use. Its construction allows frequent winding and unwinding and is designed for high transmission speeds combined with very low attenuation. Thanks to the integrated steel armoring, the cable offers reliable protection against mechanical damage. This makes it suitable for demanding applications at events, in the military sector and in industrial environments. The robust PUR sheath is step-resistant and can also withstand being driven over by vehicles. It also ensures a long service life and makes the cable suitable for outdoor use. The black sheathing enables inconspicuous installations. Both ends feature removable protective covers with a practical pull-in aid. This facilitates disassembly and enables transmission of up to 8 LC fibers. The construction is additionally reinforced with aramid fibers and can therefore reliably withstand high tensile loads. Despite its resistant design, the cable has a high degree of flexibility with a diameter of only 5 mm and can be easily wound onto drums. The minimum bending radius is approximately 50 mm. The LWL-PRO series offers maximum reliability even under extreme conditions. Fibers in Singlemode and Multimode versions as well as additional cable lengths are available from stock. The length of the cable on the auxiliary winding is 5 m.
