Description

• The SUB 800 A combines a 15" loudspeaker with an integrated power amplifier and an active PowerMax stereo crossover. It is therefore designed as an active subwoofer for versatile sound reinforcement applications. • Existing full-range systems, for example in combination with a PowerMate or a mixer/amplifier combination, can be easily expanded into an active stereo 2-way system with subwoofer. Alternatively, the SUB 800 A can be operated in parallel with an existing system to powerfully supplement the low-frequency range. The electronic stereo 2-way crossover in PowerMax technology divides the input signal into a mono subwoofer signal and separate stereo mid-high signals. Via the mid-high outputs, the mid/high-frequency spectrum is routed in active 2-way operation to the master return inputs of a mixer or PowerMate and amplified there. The mono sub signal summed from the L/R channels is routed directly to the integrated power amplifier. • The recessed high-efficiency power amplifier operates in Class-H topology and delivers 800 Watt maximum Continuous Output Power according to IHF-A. It drives the 15" Electro-Voice DL 15 Y woofer and enables a maximum sound pressure level of 128 dB at 1 m. Comprehensive protection functions ensure safe operation, including an audio limiter, TBC, back-EMF, DC, HF, short-circuit and thermal protection, as well as a Speaker-Halogen-Protector and thermal switch. The cabinet is sealed with black, particularly impact-resistant textured paint. Large transport casters at the rear and two recessed metal handles facilitate handling and transport.
