The two stereo channels are combined into a single mono output signal. A variable attenuation control is available for each input, allowing the levels of the left and right channels to be matched. This means that the podDI can be used as a passive mixer with separate audio tracks. For example, speech and music signals can be appropriately balanced in the shared mono output. The signal can be fed in either via a 3.5-mm stereo TRS jack (1/8") or via color-coded RCA/Cinch connectors. An unused input can be used as a thru output. The output signal is provided via a balanced XLR socket with a male connector. A ground-lift switch helps eliminate ground loops and the resulting interference noise. In addition, the podDI can be used as a high-quality input for a single signal source.
