Thanks to its high output, the compact loudspeaker is suitable for both mobile sound reinforcement and installation applications. Despite its comparatively low weight of 42 kg, the system achieves a maximum sound pressure level of up to 143 dB. European premium OEM components with a power handling of 800 W at 8 Ohm are used for the low- and high-frequency ranges. Combined with the high sensitivity of 109 dB at 1 W/1 m, this results in an exceptionally high maximum level. The dimensions remain pleasantly compact at 520 mm wide, 800 mm high and 600 mm deep. The frequency range of the 2-way top speaker extends from 96 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB. Dispersion is 60° horizontal and 40° vertical. The enclosure is made of birch plywood and coated with black, moisture- and UV-resistant Warnex textured coating in RAL9005. A version in additional RAL colors is available on request. A robust metal grille with foam behind it protects the front. Thanks to its protection against dust and splashing water, the loudspeaker is also suitable for temporary outdoor use. The combination of two different acoustic principles enables extended low-frequency reproduction while maintaining very high sensitivity. For the low-frequency range, two 10" drivers with 2.5" voice coils are used. They are both front-horn-loaded and bass-reflex-tuned. The multicellular horn ensures even coupling of the individual elements within the enclosure. This allows the system to be expanded easily to increase the horizontal dispersion angle. High-frequency reproduction is handled by two 1" high-frequency drivers with 1.75" voice coils. The annular polyester ring cone can reproduce the lower high-frequency spectrum with significantly less stress than a conventional dome-shaped metal diaphragm. At the same time, it delivers clear and pleasant reproduction up to the highest frequency ranges, even at high volume levels. Thanks to these characteristics, the Axios One is versatile and enables a sound reinforcement system to be set up quickly as a groundstack.
