Despite its compact dimensions, each loudspeaker weighs only 62 kg. When combined as four units, a maximum sound pressure level of up to 153 dB is achieved – an exceptionally high value for this enclosure size. Installed are European premium OEM components with a power handling of 1800 W AES, 3600 W program power and 10000 W Peak at 8 Ohm. Together with the sensitivity of 112 dB at 1 W/1 m, this enables the high maximum level of the quad stack. The dimensions remain pleasantly compact at 700 mm width, 580 mm height and 900 mm depth. The frequency range of the horn-loaded 18" subwoofer extends from 35 Hz to 200 Hz at -3 dB. Sound radiation is omnidirectional. The enclosure is made of beech plywood and coated with black, moisture- and UV-resistant Warnex textured coating in RAL 9005. Other RAL colors are also available on request. A robust metal grille with foam behind it protects the front. Thanks to its protection against dust and splashing water, the loudspeaker is also suitable for temporary outdoor use. Thanks to the horn design, the subwoofer achieves a significant increase in sound pressure. As a quad stack, the system can match the output of four 2x18" subwoofers. At the same time, it offers convincing low-frequency extension despite the horn loading. With the newly available front panel facelift, the system is also frequently used in clubs for the reproduction of electronic music.
