The 4x4 HDMI matrix router flexibly distributes signals between four HDMI sources and four display devices. Bidirectional IR is used for signal transmission. In conjunction with the separately available GEF-HDFST-4IRKIT, the source can be operated directly from the respective viewing location. 3DTV passthrough as well as resolutions up to 1080p Full HD with Deep Color are supported. Digital multichannel audio is also transmitted to all four HDTV screens, including eight digital audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. 3D content can be played back as soon as both a 3D television and a suitable 3D source are connected. Each source can be selected at any time from any display location. The integrated Fast-Switching technology accelerates the HDCP authentication process. The ELR and POL technologies enable convenient signal transmission over greater distances. ELR is based on HDBaseT and extends HDMI over a single CAT5e cable. Thanks to POL, no external power supply is required for the receiver units. The IR-All-Out connection forwards IR commands from each display location to all sources. The IR-All-In connection receives control commands from an automation controller and transmits them via the matrix to all remote displays.
