Extracts up to eight audio channels from an HDMI signal. LPCM is output via the analog outputs, while bitstream signals are provided via the optical Toslink output. Application: The incoming audio signal from an HDMI source is separated by the converter and output either via eight Cinch/RCA outputs or the digital optical output. The HDMI video signal remains unchanged and is forwarded to the HDMI output for the connected receiving device. LPCM audio can be output via the Cinch/RCA connections. Bitstream formats, such as Dolby Digital, are available exclusively via the digital optical audio output. Various settings are available for audio processing. These include an automatic and a manual mode, as well as the choice between 2-channel audio, multichannel bitstream and 7.1-channel LPCM.
