The DA-2 distributes the signal from a single source to several galvanically isolated line outputs. This makes the device suitable, for example, for driving multiple amplifier lines in live sound applications, supplying various cassette recorders, or routing audio signals to several sound reinforcement zones. In regular stereo operation, four outputs are available per input. Using the front-panel COMBINE switch, both inputs can be routed to all eight outputs. This allows the DA-2 to be used as a 1-in/8-out or 2-in/8-out distributor. Each output is ground-referenced, has a separate level control and its own clip indicator. The input signals are monitored via SIGNAL-PRESENT and CLIP LEDs. The headphone output can be switched to either of the two channels. Active balanced XLR connectors with line level are provided for all audio connections. If galvanic isolation via transformers is required, the 1U accessory ISO-8 with eight channels can be added.
