Description
A digital mixer and signal processor designed for a broad range of fixed-installation audio systems, including audiovisual venues, places of worship and similar applications. Programming is available directly from the front panel or through Windows control software. Configurations can be saved in the internal memory and recalled from the front-panel controls. The processor supports configurations of up to twelve inputs, eight buses and eight outputs. Its processing section covers the functions required for systems with feedback control, dynamics processing, equalization, crossover and delay tasks, as well as automatic mixing. The final combination of input, output and control functions can be selected according to the user's needs. Sixteen different modules are available. Rack-mount digital mixer/processor intended for installed sound systems, including audiovisual facilities, houses of worship and other venues Modular architecture enables flexible system configuration with up to twelve inputs and eight outputs; modules are not included The processing tools include digital mixing, feedback suppression, auto-mixing, parametric equalization, compression, delay and echo The feedback suppression function continuously monitors the signal, identifies problematic frequencies and attenuates only those frequencies automatically, helping preserve a natural sound The ducker automatically changes the gain of all channels according to the level of the incoming signal NOM (Number of Open Microphones) attenuation automatically regulates the input gain of open microphones in accordance with the number of microphones currently active in the system An eight-bus matrix provides flexible routing from inputs to outputs for zone distribution and room-combining applications All parameters can be configured on the device using the LCD display, front-panel buttons and control knobs Windows PC software allows settings to be programmed remotely and archived Sixteen internal memories are provided for saving and recalling different routing layouts and parameter setups The RS-232C interface supports remote operation via AMX, Crestron or comparable external control systems An optional D-981 or D-983 Remote Control Module, as well as the optional D-984VC VCA Control Module, enables convenient remote volume adjustment and preset-memory recall With the optional D-984VC VCA Control Module installed, volume can be controlled from a remote position using faders or volume controls Input and output channels are equipped with level metering A protection function helps prevent unintended changes to settings made with the front-panel controls
