This 1200 W luminaire is designed for applications where reduced operating noise is especially important. Compared with the standard version, the “Q” model operates more quietly while retaining the same high level of image quality, color reproduction, and brightness. Its four-blade shutter system allows each blade to be controlled independently or all together across two planes, producing a precise, clean image. The fixture offers the same movement and operating functions as the standard model. The main difference concerns thermal performance: the permitted ambient temperature is 40 °C, whereas the non-Q version is rated for up to 50 °C. The optical and effects section includes 6:1 zoom optics, CYM color mixing, variable CTO correction, a six-position fixed color wheel, one rotating gobo wheel, and one fixed gobo wheel. Separate dimmer and ultra-fast strobe mechanisms are also provided. The fixture comes with a standard selection of gobos, effects, and fixed colors; custom gobos, effects, and colors are available. Control electronics and the power supply for the 1200 W short-arc lamp are housed in the upper enclosure. The arc power supply features power-factor correction for improved distribution and efficiency. Control is possible from a wide range of DMX512 consoles without requiring additional interface equipment. The modifications result in only a minor change in dimensions and weight, so the hanging configuration and overall appearance remain consistent with standard fixtures. The lower ventilation cover is approximately one inch taller, and the unit weighs three pounds more than the standard version.
