The weatherproof passive column speaker combines the advantages of modern line array technology with an elegant appearance and convincing sound quality. The directional radiation in the form of a cylindrical wave enables high-quality transmission of speech and music even in acoustically difficult rooms. Thanks to its unobtrusive design, the system can be harmoniously integrated into different room architectures. It is suitable both for mobile applications and for permanent installation. The robust aluminium housing and coated speakers also make use outdoors and under demanding weather conditions possible. Twelve precisely arranged 4" high-performance speakers and a 1" compression driver with an FWave waveguide positioned upstream generate highly directional, cylindrical sound radiation according to the line array principle. Within this radiation range, the sound pressure remains significantly more uniform over greater distances than with conventional speakers. This achieves particularly homogeneous sound coverage. Compared with conventional speakers, the sound is directed much more specifically towards the audience, while less energy is reflected off the ceiling and floor. This makes a decisive contribution to improved speech intelligibility. Even in acoustically challenging environments, the system delivers clear speech reproduction and dynamic music transmission. For powerful music reproduction, the column speaker can be easily combined with the AS-30, AS-40, XS-30 or XS-4 subwoofer models. The powerful and highly robust driver configuration enables clear, balanced and dynamic reproduction of electric guitars, acoustic guitars, wind instruments, classical instruments, keyboards, bass and drums. Voices are transmitted naturally, transparently and with impact. Speech also remains clear and pleasantly intelligible.
