The FP-Media was developed for professional speech and music reproduction and, thanks to its short setup time, is suitable for both mobile and permanently installed applications – including AV, conference and presentation events. The system features an 8" cone loudspeaker and a 1" compression driver with short horn. The frequency response ranges from 70 Hz to 20 kHz, and the nominal dispersion angle is 100° x 100°. With a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB at 1 m, the loudspeaker provides clear reproduction, very good speech intelligibility and high feedback resistance. The integrated mixer provides a balanced microphone input via a 3-pin XLR socket with 15-V phantom power, a 6.3-mm line input and two Cinch sockets, which can be used as a stereo input with mono sum. A 2-band tone control for bass and treble using the shelving method and a ground-lift switch are also included. In addition, an external balanced microphone input with 1 kOhm and a line input with 10 kOhm are available. The output is provided as a 6.3-mm jack with line level and 600 Ohm. The integrated processor control includes a limiter with Autosubsonic function and reliably protects the system against overload. The mains connection is via an IEC appliance inlet at 230 V AC; a 1.25 A T fuse in the 5 x 20 mm format is used. Thanks to the asymmetrical cabinet with a 55° monitor angle, the speaker can also be used as an active monitor system. For mounting, it features an integrated 36-mm speaker stand socket and two M8 threaded inserts for the SHM-1 tripod fork. The cabinet is made of birch plywood, has plastic feet and a recessed carrying handle. Black textured paint protects the surface. A sturdy metal protective grille with acoustic foam in the cabinet color protects the front from mechanical impact. The transport case enables safe transport of the set; a carrying bag is also available as an accessory.
