The BMFL™ — Bright Multi-Functional Luminaire — is a highly powerful, versatile moving light designed to set a new standard in professional lighting applications. With its custom-developed light source, the BMFL Spot™ delivers an impressive output of 250,000 lux at a distance of 5 metres. This level of brightness remains unmatched by other products currently available on the market. Despite its extensive functionality and high power, the fixture weighs only 36 kg and features a compact housing. The light source provides a CRI of 92+. Combined with the precisely engineered optical system and a 5–55° zoom range, it produces a sharp, high-quality beam with smooth homogenisation and no hotspot. Two colour wheels feature filters for colour-temperature adjustment and for improving the CRI of white light as lamps age. The fixture is equipped with two rotating gobo wheels, each offering six slot-and-lock gobo positions, as well as two rotating prisms. Both graphic wheels operate within the same focal plane, while their rotation and movement can be controlled separately and adjusted independently. This allows the creation of extremely subtle, continuously variable special effects. Additional creative options are provided by the frost and dimming functions. Three frost levels are available. The dimmer operates exceptionally smoothly without distortion, keeping the entire beam width visible until the light fully fades out. The authentic strobe effect reaches a rate of up to 10 flashes per second. Developed for long-throw applications, the patented EMS™ (Electronic Motion Stabiliser) system compensates for vibrations caused by audio output, truss movement, sprung or suspended floors and similar sources.
