Voice signals from a microphone and audio signals from sources such as a laptop, CD player or MP3 player can be mixed and played back for the audience. With an output power of up to 2 x 40 Watt, the system delivers clear and powerful sound. The input signals are connected via an RJ45 input on the rear of the active speaker. Separate controls for bass and treble are available for adjusting the sound. The signal is transmitted symmetrically and at increased voltage. This makes the connection less susceptible to interference and noise that may be caused by external devices. Using an inexpensive twisted CAT5 cable, distances of up to 500 meters can be bridged between the input device and speaker. Thanks to the magnetic shielding, interference caused by radiation from external devices is also reduced.
