Description

The multi-format twisted-pair transmission module with DGKat™ technology offers four inputs for computer graphics video, HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort, as well as an unbalanced stereo audio input. The integrated “Step-in” button allows the signal source to be selected; the module automatically detects which input is being used. Both digital embedded audio and the input of analogue stereo audio signals are supported. When the device is used together with the central DGKat™ Step-In switcher VP-81SIDN in installations with several multi-format connection modules, the “Step-in” button activates the “Show-Me” function. This allows the image and audio signal fed in at the respective participant connection to be output on the display via the central switcher. The Step-in function can alternatively be triggered via a contact input. Switching between the locally connected signal sources can also be controlled in this way. The module is also compatible with DGKat™ twisted-pair HDMI receivers such as the PT-572+ or TP-574 and can therefore also be operated without a central switcher.
