Transmission takes place in the license-free 2.4-GHz band. This provides several compatible channels while largely avoiding interference from other transmitters. Reliable, high-quality signal transmission is also possible over greater distances. The receiver, specially designed for musical applications, features a clearly arranged LCD display showing the various settings and functions. The instrument signal can be processed with various preset effects. Using the footswitch, the output signal can be routed to the desired outputs according to the configuration. The robust metal housing, integrated antennas and ergonomically designed footswitch are intended for practical use. Up to 32 parameters can be programmed in the function menu, including Channel and ID, Cable Tone, Acoustic Response, Anti-Feedback, Gain, Output, Phase, Situation Color, Name, Auto Wake Up and Channel Scan. Digital signal transmission ensures very low self-noise. A high-quality DSP with special algorithms supports natural and faithful sound reproduction. Two 6.25-mm jack outputs and one XLR output are available for audio output. The outputs can be assigned different effects or muted separately. The Ground-Lift switch can electrically isolate the output from ground to avoid mains hum. An additional Tuner Out with a 6.25-mm jack socket is provided for tuning and adjustment. The sensitivity of each channel can be adjusted individually. This keeps the output level consistent when using different instruments. The 9-V-DC power supply also allows the supply voltage to be looped through to additional effects devices. The battery level is shown by a display with three LEDs. The audio connection can be made either via a 3.5-mm stereo jack plug or, using the supplied adapter, via 6.35 mm. The radio frequency between transmitter and receiver is synchronized via an infrared signal. The transmitter uses digital modulation and operates in the range of 2.4000–2.4835 GHz with a switching bandwidth of 83.5 MHz. There are 12 compatible channels, 64 ID codes and a specific ID code for each channel to prevent interference from signals on the same frequency. The transmission power is 10 mW. With a clear line of sight between the antennas, a maximum range of 60 meters is possible. The supplied ICR-18500 lithium battery enables an operating time of up to 12 hours. The automatic switch-off is set to 2 hours. The MP-24 charging station can be used for charging. MP-80 and MPA-24 are available as optional accessories.
