Lamp replacement can be carried out without altering the existing focus, barndoor position, or operating-angle settings. Auto-eject CEE connectors or integrated safety switches are provided to help prevent a lamp from being inserted while the unit is live. Focusing is precise and smooth, with the protected worm-drive lead-screw mechanism helping to reduce jolts and extend filament life. Switching between 1000W and 1200W lamps requires loosening two screws, moving the lamp tray plate to its alternative position, and tightening the screws again. A hinged door in the colour runners retains all lantern accessories and allows quick release via a spring catch. Colour frame cassettes can be installed at the top, bottom, or side, depending on the required setup. The yokes provide two height-adjustment positions.
