GenVI stands for a modern generation of professional dimmer packs. Operation is conveniently carried out via a clearly structured LCD touchscreen, enabling intuitive navigation and configuration. Dimming continues to use the PTFD (Pulse Transformer Fired Dimming) method. Unlike many other dimmers, no minimum load is required, so even very small loads can be processed reliably. Both resistive and inductive loads, as well as motors for mirror balls, can be operated without any problems. In addition, the device can be used as a power distributor. Each channel can be configured individually as a relay, allowing, for example, moving lights and LED spotlights to be safely supplied with power. The TruePower technology used for this purpose operates with real relays and not with a switch curve merely simulated by software. Using the Auto-Power function, appropriately configured channels can be activated automatically as soon as a DMX signal is detected. The twelve channels are protected by combined RCBOs. These combine a residual-current circuit breaker (RCD) with two-pole disconnecting circuit breakers. In the event of a shutdown due to a residual current or earth fault, only the affected channel is deactivated, while the rest of the dimmer pack remains ready for operation. This increases safety throughout the entire production.
