Together with the matching loudspeaker controller, it forms a space-saving and cost-effective processor and amplifier solution for numerous loudspeaker series – from the ID series to the PS15. The combination provides all the necessary functions for operating compatible loudspeaker systems. Operation and setup are straightforward, while the amplifier and controller form a single unit both visually and functionally. Together, the two devices weigh around 10 kg, but can, for example, supply a system consisting of two loudspeakers and two subwoofers with sufficient amplifier power and signal processing. The high power density is achieved through a highly integrated construction as well as a particularly efficient power supply and power amplifier design with compact cooling. Extensive monitoring and protection circuits are available for professional touring operation. These include monitoring of mains overvoltage and undervoltage, overvoltage, DC voltage on the individual channels, and short-circuit protection. A temperature-controlled fan ensures reliable cooling while maintaining low noise levels. The airflow runs from front to rear, enabling trouble-free use in racks, including together with high-performance NXAMP systems.
