Description
The step-in module enables the transmission of various video formats via HDBaseT twisted-pair cables. Four inputs are available for computer graphics, HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort, as well as a step-in button for selection. The connected signal input is automatically detected. In addition to digitally embedded audio, analogue stereo audio signals can also be fed in. In combination with a presentation scaler such as the VP-553, the module can be used as a participant in a centrally controlled presentation solution. The “Show-Me” function is activated via the step-in button: the picture and sound signal fed in at the respective connection is output on the display via the central switcher. Step-in activation is alternatively possible via an external contact input. Switching between the local inputs can also be performed via a contact input. For operation without a central switcher, the module is compatible with HDBaseT™ twisted-pair HDMI receivers such as TP-580R, TP-580RXR or VP-427. Features Maximum data rate of 6.75 GBit/s in Normal mode, suitable for up to 1080p@60 Hz, 36 BPP including WUXGA. In Ultra mode, up to 4.95 GBit/s is achieved for 1080p@60 Hz and 24 BPP. HDTV compatible. HDCP compliant and designed for sources with HDCP repeater mode. Supports HDMI Deep Color, x.v.Color™ and 3D. I-EDIDPro™ for intelligent processing of EDID data and reliable plug-and-play operation of HDMI systems. Equalization and reclocking of the transmitted data. Precise detection of the input signal by evaluating the video clock actually present. Automatic selection of the last connected signal input; alternatively, manual selection is possible. Automatic detection and integration of an analogue stereo audio signal. Analogue audio de-embedding at the local output. Support for digital audio formats. The learned EDID can be locked and thereby protected against accidental overwriting. Transmission range of up to 130 m in Normal mode at 1080p@60 Hz and 36 BPP, or up to 180 m in Ultra mode at 1080p@60 Hz and 24 BPP, in each case with BC-HDKat6a cables. Local step-in switching via the device button or an external closing contact. External power supply; the suitable power adapter is included. Compact MegaTOOLS® housing. With the optional RK-T2B adapter, two devices can be mounted side by side in one rack unit in a 19-inch rack. Technical specifications Inputs: 1x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort, 1x DVI-I socket for DVI-D signals, 1x HD15 socket for VGA/WUXGA and 1x 3.5-mm socket for unbalanced stereo audio.
