The fibre-optic DVI system enables reliable and lossless transmission of digital, uncompressed DVI signals over distances of up to 100 metres. It uses a high-performance hybrid cable with optical fibres as well as additional copper conductors. Both cable ends are fitted with DVI-D connectors. This makes the solution particularly suitable for professional AV installations where signals need to be transmitted reliably over longer distances.
