Reference: I0014720 Connecting this processor to other Event Master units, including the E2 or S3-4K, increases the overall system’s available input and output capacity while adding further scaling and switching resources. The unit is a cost-effective 4K60p scaler with processing performance comparable to four ImagePRO processors. One chassis can handle a 4×4 scaling matrix for HD sources, while two linked units can provide an 8×8 scaling matrix. It can also extend the I/O of the main processing system for applications located up to 100 metres away. Modular I/O cards and software are shared with the rest of the Event Master range, allowing the system configuration to be adapted to different requirements and making on-site servicing more convenient. The same approach simplifies cabling and system design: the processor can replace up to eight fibre extenders between I/O equipment and the main Event Master chassis, requiring only one cable and one expansion unit. For each E2 or S3-4K link connection, two expansion processors fitted with a total of two input cards and two output cards can be connected. This configuration supports up to 8 expansion chassis with an E2 and up to 4 with an S3-4K. As a result, each link connection can provide 8 inputs and 8 outputs, delivering a total of 32 inputs and outputs for the E2 or 16 inputs and outputs for the S3-4K—without the need to install another full-size processing chassis.
