Condition: Good Flightcase: Not included Accessories: - The Encore Video Processor (VP) serves as the central unit of the Encore Presentation System. It manages the system’s inputs, outputs, layers and widescreen blending functions. Housed in a 3RU rackmount chassis, the VP can be equipped with one, two or three Mix/Effect (M/E) boards, depending on the intended application. Units supplied with one or two M/E boards can be expanded later by installing additional boards. Every M/E board includes two independent Athena scaler channels. This proprietary scaling technology supports universal analog and digital video inputs, along with smooth real-time PIP movement and resizing based on user-defined keyframes. Within an Encore setup, each VP functions as an individual destination. Several VPs can be combined to build complex configurations containing both single and blended destinations. The output board supplies Program and Preview outputs in analog and digital formats, as well as the interface, blending and data-doubling capabilities needed for widescreen applications. Supported output formats include computer resolutions up to 1600 x 1200, analog HDTV standards such as 720p, 1080i and 1080p, HD-SDI, 2048 x 1080p Digital Cinema video and plasma display resolutions. Output synchronization allows the frame rate to be locked to an externally supplied NTSC/PAL black burst signal. The VP accepts a broad range of input sources, including component and composite analog video in NTSC, PAL and SECAM, SDI video, computer resolutions up to 1600 x 1200, analog HD formats such as 720p and 1080i, HD-SDI, 2048 x 1080p Digital Cinema video and plasma display resolutions. The Athena scaler additionally provides 1:1 pixel sampling, motion-adaptive de-interlacing for standard- and high-definition sources, 3:2 and 2:2 pulldown detection, low video delay, aspect-ratio correction, image cropping, plus real-time window resizing and positioning. When configured with three M/E boards, one VP can handle six independent PIP or KEY images, or three transitioning PIPs. The M/E boards effectively form the system’s layers. Two non-scaled background channels provide a high-resolution backdrop and support seamless transitions, while a third non-scaled high-resolution input channel is available for Downstream Key (DSK) effects. PIP and KEY elements can be resized and placed anywhere on the screen during operation. Z-order control determines the priority of each layer. PIPs may be paired for transitions or operated and transitioned independently. KEYs can be used for titles, special masks and other visual effects.
