Description

DIY Waves SoundGrid Extreme X3 in a compact HP Elitedesk case. While the original server in 19" format occupies two rack units, this is the space-saving 1-liter version. At 96 kHz, 0.8 ms and 64 × 64 channels, the performance is sufficient for approximately 4–5 CPU-intensive plug-ins such as Abbey Road, as well as around 40 conventional plug-ins. At a lower resolution, correspondingly more plug-ins are possible. An Intel 6700 processor and 8 GB RAM are installed. For an additional charge, a suitable host PC in the form of an HP Elitedesk G2 can also be supplied. This allows both devices to be screwed into a rack together.
