External SD Remote Fader controller included in a case. **SD-RE rack unit** The compact 3U SD-RE serves as a complete backup engine for an SD10 system. It brings the same type of redundancy associated with the dual-engine architecture of the SD7 range. Connection to the console is made with an Ethernet crossover cable, while the audio racks can be linked through MADI or Optocore. Once connected, the unit provides a seamless backup path for the console. The redundant system can mirror the SD10 control computer, audio engine, application software and key worksurface functions. Switchover may be initiated automatically or manually, depending on the operating requirements. The unit supports a 12-fader remote worksurface as well as a screen, keyboard and mouse, allowing the system to be operated fully when needed.
