The MC200CM enables the conversion of 1000BASE-SX fiber signals into 1000Base-T copper signals and can also be used in the reverse direction. The device is based on the IEEE 802.3ab standard for 1000Base-T and IEEE 802.3z for 1000Base-SX, and is designed for multimode fiber-optic cables with an SC connector. It uses short-wavelength SX laser technology with a transmission performance up to the full bandwidth. The converter operates at a wavelength of 850 nm for both transmission and reception. The media converter can be operated independently without an additional housing or installed in a suitable 19-inch system housing. Auto-MDI/MDIX on the copper port facilitates the connection, while the status LEDs on the front enable quick monitoring of the operating status.
