Description

Based on a mobile audio interface, a compact recorder was developed for flexible use on the go. The device is only slightly larger than a pack of cigarettes and, thanks to its integrated battery, enables up to eight hours of operation without a mains connection. The focus is on two microphone preamps which, according to the manufacturer, operate with low noise even at maximum gain of 53 dB. In addition, two AD and two D/A converters are installed, which are said to have an audiophile character. Recording is carried out on two channels and is saved directly internally on a microSD card. A switchable high-pass filter and an activatable impedance adjustment are available for each input. This also allows an electric guitar or electric bass to be connected directly via the Hi-Z input. A separate control also enables adjustment of the monitor balance between the latency-free input signal and the signal or playback transmitted from the computer via USB, if applicable.
