The DMX splitter is designed for mounting on a 35-mm standard DIN rail (“top-hat rail”) and can therefore be particularly well integrated into control cabinets. One data input is distributed to eight buffered outputs, which are galvanically isolated from the input. Thanks to the optical isolation, the function of the remaining data lines is maintained even if a fault occurs on an outgoing line. At the same time, ground loops are prevented and fault potentials are not transferred to other lines. This ensures significantly higher operational safety. The device supports DMX RDM and is suitable for operation with bidirectional DMX. Multiple splitters can be operated in parallel on one trunk line to increase the number of available outputs. Special logic enables particularly safe and fast RDM discovery. TRUE SIGNAL ANALYSIS An integrated microprocessor analyzes the input signal and checks whether a DMX512 data signal is actually present. DMX and RDM data traffic is displayed.
