Description
HDMI and analog video signals, control signals, and analog audio can be transmitted over distances of up to 70 m via a shielded CATx cable using DTP. The device combines reliable signal processing with a powerful, cost-effective, and easy-to-install cabling infrastructure. **Connections:** Two HDMI inputs, one VGA input via a 15-pin HD connector, and a 3.5 mm stereo jack input for audio signals. **Output:** One DTP®-230 twisted-pair output with RJ-45 connector. The signal source can be selected automatically. This also makes the device suitable for difficult-to-access installation locations, such as in a lectern or under a conference table. If several sources are active simultaneously, the switching priority can be individually defined. Processes computer and video resolutions up to 1920 × 1200, including 1080p/60 and 2K. Digital transmission takes place over a single twisted-pair cable up to 70 m, without compromising image quality even at high resolutions. Analog stereo audio signals can be specifically embedded into the digital video output signal and transmitted together with the video signal via DTP. Various audio options are available for the HDMI input: passing through the integrated digital audio, embedding an analog signal, or automatically using the analog audio as soon as no digital audio is detected. For simplified cabling, the transmitter can be powered via the twisted-pair line from a DTP-capable device. For optimum results, the shielded XTP DTP 24 twisted-pair cable is expressly recommended. The device operates with shielded CATx twisted-pair cables and thereby achieves the maximum transmission distance of 70 m at all supported resolutions. Shielded cables with solid-core conductors and at least 24 AWG are recommended. Analog stereo audio signals can additionally be processed and transmitted simultaneously over the same shielded twisted-pair cable. The analog audio input can be assigned to any video input or configured to automatically follow the input switching. The gain of the analog audio input can be adjusted via SIS commands. This makes it possible to compensate for noticeable volume differences when switching between different sources. Supports HDMI features with data rates of up to 6.75 Gbit/s, 3D signals, and lossless HD audio formats. The DTP output can be configured for connection to HDBaseT-capable devices. In this operating mode, video, embedded audio, and bidirectional RS-232 and IR signals can be transmitted to an HDBaseT display. A wide range of embedded audio formats, including multichannel audio signals, is supported and enables reliable processing of HDMI sources. Bidirectional RS-232 and IR signals can be transmitted together with the video signal. This allows remotely installed AV devices to be operated without additional control lines. Analog input signals are digitized so that a stable, high-quality digital video signal is available at the output device. HDCP compliance enables playback of protected content and interoperability with other HDCP-compatible devices. For each input, it can be specified whether it presents itself to the connected source as HDCP compliant or non-compliant. This function is particularly useful with sources that automatically decrypt all content when connected to an HDCP device. Copy-protected content is not transmitted in non-HDCP mode. EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID communication between the connected components. This ensures that sources start correctly and output content at the resolution suitable for the display. The HDCP authentication status and signal presence of the digital video inputs are monitored in real time. Quick checks are possible via the front-panel LEDs as well as via RS-232 or USB. The video and audio outputs can be muted independently of one another. When HDMI and DVI interfaces are connected, automatic format correction is performed. Embedded Audio and InfoFrames are enabled or disabled accordingly, and the appropriate color space is set for the connected display. The color depth is automatically adjusted based on the display’s EDID data. This helps prevent compatibility problems between the signal source and display device. The front panel can be locked. Operation and configuration remain possible via USB or RS-232. Compatible with all receivers in the DTP-230 series as well as with DTP-capable products. This allows the solution to be combined with tabletop and wall-mount receivers and other compatible devices. The RS-232 control port allows serial commands to be integrated into a higher-level control system. The SIS™ protocol (Simple Instruction Set) with simple ASCII commands is used for programming. A contact closure enables remote selection of an input channel. The tally output provides +5 V DC for an LED that indicates the currently selected input. Compatibility with TeamWork® Show Me® cables enables convenient user operation, local input switching, and control of TeamWork workgro
