The MXO2 LE combines the functionality of an I/O card with the convenience of a robust, mobile breakout unit featuring professional audio and video connections. It can be transferred between Mac Pro systems within a facility or used on location together with a MacBook Pro. Reliable broadcast-quality signal input and output are available through HDMI, SDI, and analog connections. The unit also provides professional audio I/O as well as HDMI monitoring with calibration options, including blue-only display. For flexible HD and SD production workflows with Final Cut Studio, the integrated 10-bit hardware engine supports up-, down-, and cross-scaling. Compatibility with numerous file-based formats and industry-standard codecs makes the MXO2 LE suitable for editing virtually anywhere. The MAX edition includes Matrox MAX technology, enabling high-definition H.264 files to be created faster than in real time. With the Matrox Thunderbolt adapter, the system can be connected to newer Macs, including 13", 15", and 17" MacBook Pro models, Mac mini, iMac, and MacBook Air.
