When using a singlemode fiber optic cable, distances of up to 1,500 meters (4,920 feet) are possible, while up to 500 meters (1,640 feet) can be achieved with a multimode fiber optic cable. The set includes a transmitter and a receiver. Resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) are supported. The signal is transmitted via a two-core singlemode or multimode LC fiber optic cable and is free from RF interference. With singlemode cables, a range of up to 1,500 meters (4,920 feet) can be achieved. When using a multimode cable, the maximum range is up to 500 meters (1,640 feet). The compact design enables uncomplicated connection and space-saving setup. The cables can already be laid in a protective conduit before installing the extender. Thanks to the EDID learning function, any DVI display devices are supported. The transmission causes only minor RF and electromagnetic interference and is therefore also suitable for sensitive applications. No software installation is required.
