The dot2 core is a compact lighting control console intended for small and medium-sized productions, supporting up to 4,096 control channels. Designed around straightforward operation, the dot2 combines comprehensive connectivity with a workflow suited to theatre, touring, corporate events, television and educational applications. The user-friendly software is available in several languages and includes integrated Help and Direct Hints, helping new operators quickly make full use of the console. With “Patch and Go”, no additional setup is required. A broad selection of programming and playback functions provides intuitive access to advanced features. Generic fixture parameters can be accessed through Smart Dialogue, while Store Look makes it possible to record and control exactly the intended values. Automated functions such as Track & Shield and Auto-Unblock make cue-list management easier. Auto-Fix enables playback page changes without unexpected results. The hardware is compact, robust and lightweight, making it well suited to touring use. Optional plug-and-play F-wing and B-wing modules can expand the playback controls. Full-tracking backup functionality helps keep shows running reliably. Live Time, Tap Sync and support for multiple touchscreens provide immediate access to playback functions. Soft-LTP also helps maintain important key-light levels without forcing the lighting to black. As the central model of the dot2 range, the console features the complete programming section, a master playback section, six fader playbacks and twelve individual playback buttons.
