As the central wireless and control unit of the Microflex Complete Wireless System, the MXCWAPT handles audio distribution, frequency management and the management of up to 125 wireless conference units. During commissioning, the access point analyzes the available frequency ranges of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and determines the most suitable channel. This information is then forwarded to the connected conference units. By using the access-restricted DFS spectrum, additional wireless channels are available. If the system detects possible interference, the access point automatically initiates a smooth channel change for all connected units without interrupting the audio transmission. Wireless communication is encrypted with AES-128, thereby protecting confidential conversations from unauthorized access. For integration into a digital audio system, a Dante network connection with up to 10 input and 10 output channels is available. In addition, a wireless microphone for presenters or moderators and an external sound reinforcement system can be connected via the analog XLR connectors. An LC display and controls enable basic configuration directly on the access point, so no laptop is required for these settings. Power can be supplied via a conventional PoE switch or a PoE injector. For permanent installation, the device can be mounted on a wall or ceiling using the included bracket and paintable cover. For temporary deployments, it can alternatively be placed on a table.
