Particularly noteworthy are the high transmission power of 50 mW and the high-quality supercardioid capsule. It picks up even very quiet speech, sounds and noises with exceptional sensitivity and is therefore particularly suitable for speech applications. It is not recommended for rock vocals, however. The EM 1031-U receivers are available 9-fold and start at 801.100 MHz (see pictures). Channels 13, 14, 15 and 16 can legally be operated simultaneously within the D-band duplex gap: 13: 824.525 MHz 14: 825.100 MHz 15: 825.925 MHz 16: 827.025 MHz The 1000 series was introduced before the Evolution series. It was more expensive, featured higher-quality capsules and offered a transmission power of 50 mW. It was later replaced by Evolution for the market, as the focus shifted more strongly from conference applications towards rock'n'roll and pop. Here are the most important features: • Muting: A separate switch allows the microphone to be muted without interrupting the radio connection to the receiver. • Flexible frequency selection: As a U-series model, the device operates in the UHF range. Channels 13, 14, 15 and 16 can legally be used simultaneously in the D-band duplex gap. • Robust housing: The construction is designed for demanding stage operation and is mechanically durable. • Transducer principle: Electret condenser. • Pickup pattern: Supercardioid. It supports good feedback suppression and effectively separates the voice from disturbing stage noise. • Frequency range: 80 Hz to 18,000 Hz. • Sound pressure level: The capsule has a very high level-handling capability. Two sensitivity levels are available via a switch on the transmitter: o “LOW” position: up to 124 dB SPL, suitable for loud environments or powerful voices. o “HIGH” position: up to 104 dB SPL, for higher sensitivity. • Sound: Thanks to the condenser technology, a clear and detailed sound is produced, which is particularly appreciated for speech and vocal transmissions in broadcast quality. The set is functional, but shows clear signs of use. Should the 1072-U handheld transmitters be completely sold, matching BF 1081-U sets with dynamic cardioid pickup pattern are still available.
