Its 16 channels and direct outputs make it suitable for integration with 16-track recording systems. In total, the mixer provides 26 inputs, including FX returns and tape returns. A built-in 16-program Lexicon effects section supports two simultaneous effects. Available combinations include Chorus and Reverb, Chorus and Delay, as well as Reverb and Delay. Programs and parameters can be edited and stored. The 16 microphone/line inputs are equipped with UltraMic™ preamps, offering a 60 dB gain range and +22 dBu of headroom. This allows the input stage to accommodate a wide variety of microphone- and line-level sources. The EQ section features a three-band British-style equalizer with swept midrange. Custom-designed controls provide precise adjustment across carefully selected frequency ranges. Four auxiliary sends are provided, including a dedicated send for the built-in effects, one pre-fade send, and two sends selectable between pre- and post-fader operation. They can be used for additional monitor mixes in live work or as effects sends during studio mixing. The mixer also includes four stereo returns, a separate mono sum output, and two subgroup outputs. Two subgroups make it possible to route groups of instruments to a multitrack recorder, additional speaker systems, or a separate subgroup mix. All 16 direct outputs feature individual pre/post-fader switching, making them suitable for both studio recording and live multitrack work. Solo In Place and PFL solo modes are available for studio monitoring and channel gain adjustment. Long-throw 100 mm faders provide more precise control in demanding mixes than standard 60 mm versions. The custom-designed controls offer a smooth and consistent response throughout their travel. Despite its extensive functionality, the console is housed in a rugged and compact frame. Surface-mount PCB technology helps keep the design space-efficient. It can also be installed in a 10U rack using the rotating connector pod, which allows convenient cable connection behind the rack.
