Flightcase: not included Accessories: none The SP18E is a compact, self-powered sub-low system designed for high SPL performance. Its enclosure is made from rigid multilayer birch plywood, internally reinforced with numerous braces and protected by a durable coating. Handling is especially convenient thanks to the innovative cabinet design, which accommodates a 4-inch long-coil neodymium driver and an ultra-light 2500 W CCD amplifier. Despite its solid low-frequency output, the complete subwoofer weighs only 58 kg. The enclosure dimensions are tailored to international truck-size standards. An ergonomic arrangement of grip points, Nano Armor polyurethane coating and extra corner protection, combined with multiple slide bars, make transportation easier. The protective slide bars also allow several cabinets to be securely stacked and locked together. Pole mounting is possible in both upright and horizontal positions. The SP18E provides any F.O.H. system with a powerful and stable foundation in the lowest audible frequency range. Sound Projects’ proprietary SALC (Single Audio-logic Level Control) speaker-management system uses RMS-based gain riding to preserve the tonal balance perceived by the human ear while protecting the drivers against excessive excursion and overheating. A recessed switch enables selection of the standard Sound Projects setting* or an external low-pass filter. Computer-aided modelling and advanced acoustic calculation software were used to determine the optimum cabinet dimensions, maximise efficiency and precisely position the multiple internal reinforcing ribs and tuned ports. *60 Hz @ 24 dB Butterworth
