Description

Manufacturer information: The compact digital matrix processor is designed as a 4x4 audio matrix mixer with an integrated DSP platform. Four line-level inputs and four line-level outputs are available for signal distribution and control; they can be operated balanced or unbalanced. The equipment includes numerous DSP functions for mixing, routing and the acoustic optimization of rooms. Setup is carried out using the clearly structured DSP Configurator™ configuration software. This allows the device to be installed quickly and fully adapted to the respective application. The matrix mixer is particularly suitable for presentation systems and other installations where extensive audio processing is required in a space-saving enclosure. DSP The integrated DSP system operates with a wide dynamic range and uses 24-bit A/D and D/A converters at a sampling rate of 48 kHz. This keeps the audio signal transparent during conversion. Processing options include level control, high- and low-pass filters, parametric equalizers, bass and treble tone filters, limiter and ducker. The functions are designed for practical use and are straightforward to configure. DSP Configurator with intuitive user interface The PC-based DSP Configurator software provides all functions for digital signal processing, matrix mixing and routing in a clear format. In the graphical interface, audio processing blocks, inputs and outputs, mixing points and signal connections can be seen in a single view. This gives planners and installers a quick overview of the complete audio system structure without having to switch between multiple windows or menus. Flexible signal routing Each of the four mono line-level inputs can be mixed to any of the four outputs. This allows the audio zones of the individual outputs to be adjusted specifically. For example, the device can combine two independent stereo sources or switchers in an amplifier or recording system. It is also suitable for installations with divisible rooms, for example to route the output signal of a switcher to the sound reinforcement system of the respective rooms. Control and remote operation A serial RS-232 interface and a USB connection are available for configuration and control. In addition, three digital inputs allow external switches and sensors to be connected, through which device functions can be triggered remotely. Features - 4x4 line-level audio matrix with DSP — Four line-level inputs can be digitally processed, mixed and routed to four line-level outputs. - Inputs: Four balanced or unbalanced line-level connections via two 6-pin screw terminal blocks with 3.5 mm pitch. - Outputs: Four balanced or unbalanced line-level connections, also via two 6-pin 3.5-mm screw terminal blocks. - Digital audio signal processing — DSP processing is available for all input and output signals. - 24-bit/48-kHz converters — High-performance analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters ensure high signal integrity and enable latency of less than 1 ms. - Constant, low DSP latency — The delay from input to output remains the same regardless of the number of active channels and processing steps. This preserves audio-video synchronization and avoids disruptive delayed live audio during presentations. - DSP Configurator™ — The powerful yet user-friendly PC software is used to manage all audio processes and to set up and configure signal processing, routing and mixing. - Graphical user interface — A single window clearly displays inputs, outputs, signal processing blocks, routing connections and mixing points. - Front-panel USB connection — Configuration via DSP Configurator is possible without having to access the rear of the device. - RS-232 control — The device can be integrated into a control system via serial commands. The SIS™ protocol with simple ASCII commands is used for programming. - Preconfigured signal processing blocks — Optimized templates for various input and output devices, such as microphones or loudspeakers, contain presets for level, filters, dynamics and other parameters. Flexible blocks are available for each I/O connector strip and can be individually adjusted and saved. This simplifies the planning and integration of an audio system. - Console view — An optional view within the DSP Configurator software combines gain settings, signal routing and live level displays. Overloads, numerical level values and mute status can be monitored for inputs, amplifier stages, mixing points and outputs. This makes it easy to compare and correct the settings of the various signal paths. - Three digital inputs for remote control — The configurable connections allow external switches and sensors to be connected for triggering selected device functions. - Live and emulation modes — In Live mode, the device can be connected and adjusted during operation, while changes are heard and measured in real time. Emulation mode enables offline configuration followed by transferring the settings t
