Hello everyone, For sale are two extremely powerful replicas of the legendary Electro-Voice MTL-2 Manifold subwoofer. Anyone familiar with the system knows how to appreciate its powerful low-bass punch. Thanks to the front-chamber construction based on the manifold principle, it produces powerful reproduction that carries well even over greater distances. The enclosures were professionally manufactured for road use. Great importance was placed on stability and longevity when selecting the materials used. Technical data and features of the enclosures: Material: 16 mm thick birch multiplex in a high-quality finish. The material is very rigid, moisture-resistant and at the same time significantly more manageable than the particularly heavy original enclosures. Front: Metal grille with acoustic foam, attached with four double-sided adhesive tapes. Surface: Original Warnex textured coating to professional standards. The coating is scratch-resistant and provides a robust appearance. No cheap felt and no crumbly chipboard. Principle: Manifold / Vented Cavity. In each enclosure, two 18-inch drivers operate into a shared central chamber. High-quality components from B&C Speakers / HK Audio: To ensure the highest possible performance and good phase coherence, the drivers were distributed between the two enclosures according to model. Thus, there is no untidy mixed operation within a box. Subwoofer 1: Equipped with two 18-inch HK1802 drivers, legendary and particularly punchy OEM drivers manufactured by B&C Speakers in Italy. Subwoofer 2: Equipped with two 18-inch drivers of the B&C 18RX / B8 type. The robust, high-excursion upper-class drivers deliver a powerful bass foundation. Both subwoofers each have a total impedance of 4 Ohm and can handle up to 1000 Watt RMS per box, i.e. 500 Watt RMS per driver. For inspection, one driver was removed from each enclosure. The surrounds are in perfect condition. Everything has now been fully reassembled. The Speakon connectors are wired to 1+/1-. The subwoofers are ideal for DJs, rental companies, bands or club use. Condition & legal information: Technically, the boxes function perfectly. The visual condition of the Warnex coating is good; further details can be seen in the pictures. They were operated via a DSP or controller with a suitable low-cut. Approximately 36–38 Hz was recommended, which prevented the drivers from being mechanically overloaded. An inspection with an on-site listening test is expressly possible by appointment. The test can be carried out using a powerful amplifier. Price: €750,- negotiable for the pair.
