If desired, data transfer to modular multitrack machines can be carried out completely digitally. The mixing console features 40 input channels, each equipped with comprehensive dynamics processing, a 4-band EQ, and two internal effect returns. For analogue signals, 24 inputs with 20-bit A/D conversion and 64-times oversampling are available. By installing optional I/O cards, an additional eight digital inputs and outputs can be used per board. A total of up to four expansion cards can be installed. Expansion boards are available for common digital formats such as ADAT®, TDIF™, Yamaha, and AES/EBU. With the corresponding cards, up to 16 channels can be connected directly to a digital multitrack machine. An optional Digital Cascade board also allows several 02R consoles to be connected and expanded into a larger mixing system.
